Free Image Resource for Bloggers

November 10, 2010 in Blog Tools by Diane

Image taken from WylioWhat a great way to get the main Success BlogNet blog up and running again with this fantastic image resource!

TechCrunch let the cat out of the bag, when they introduced a resource that promises to make life easier for bloggers looking for images for their blogs.
Wylio is the company and their solution to finding images that are free, that can be resized and are legal to use (in three easy steps) is something that all bloggers should be excited about.
I know for myself, this is going to make my life easier as I love using images on any posts that I do. In fact I have been known to spend more time finding that perfect image than it has to write a blog post.
For now, until this fledgling company can add more features, be sure to bookmark Wylio and keep it close to you for all your image needs.
Free Creative Commons pictures the Wylio way

What do you need a picture of today?

Search-based Keyword Tool

March 16, 2009 in Blog Tools by Diane

We came across the blog site -   Search Engine Panel where the author talked about  a tool that we just had to share with you - Google’s Search-based Keyword Tool (SKT). we think it is safe to say that many if not most of you are aware of the keyword tools: Keyword Tool ExternalWord Tracker and Trellian Keyword Discovery ( the S.E.P’s example).  Keyword Research is a very important part to your Search Engine Optimizing strategy.  For those of you not familiar with how these kind of tools work, you type in your keyword and you will get a list of related keywords  to help you in your blog advertising, blog content, SEO etc.

Although we are not as familiar with (Trellian’s) Keyword Discovery, we did note and agree with the author that the Search Based Keyword Tool ( keep it simple and just call it SKT) is similar to the Word Tracker.

What exactly  is the Search-based Keyword Tool?

From the mouths of Google Support

“The Search-based Keyword Tool generates keyword and landing page ideas highly relevant and specific to your website. In doing so, the tool helps you identify additional advertising opportunities that aren’t currently being used in your AdWords ad campaigns………….The keywords are also organized by category. Click any category to expand and view its subcategories. If applicable, you’ll also see the keywords organized by brand names…”

We found the tool to be very easy to use, it gave us some very good information, including demographics, so this is indeed a tool that we at Success BlogNet as well as BlogNet awards ( just two of our sites) will probably keep using.

We suggest that you read the full article on Search Engine Panel, to get an even clearer picture of  SKT.

As they say on Google

Where to Find people to do blog interviews:

1. Friends. In the different social communities or forums that you belong to, there are sure to be those people whose work that you admire. Ask them! People really do like talking about themselves as well as the work they are in.

2.Bloggers that you are following. I am sure that there are those blogs that you follow day after day for a variety of reasons including keeping up with topics in your niche. By interviewing these people, you have created a good resource for your niche, you have also created important linking for yourself as well as your fellow blogger.
