That being said, everything I put in here will help you in connecting to other business owners. I do have one idea that might be of use and that is to announce through your business page ( manually) the different events that are happening. The nice thing about doing that is, as in blogging you are creating a linking strategy. Let the owners know that you are doing this and invite them to come in a post a comment and maybe even link to them. In fact your "readers" could also go to the other businesses stating where they got the information from..thus a win win situation.
