Dont’ be a Social Networking Junkie!
Posted by: admin in Market your Blog Successfully, tags: Bill Eager, social networking, USA TodayBill Eager, co founder of bSocial Networks, a maker of software that helps social networking users market each other, estimates that there will be a many as 250,000 sites that call themselves social networks within a year, compared to about 850 today.
According to USATODAY, Social networks present an enormous opportunity — maybe the biggest in tech since e-mail. The sites have simplified and amplified connections between people online, creating a thriving ecosystem of small programs that let friends interact through games, greetings, video clips and more.
I don’t know about you, but to me that number is staggering not to mention daunting. Are we expected to join all of these social Networks? When will we have time to sleep, take care of other aspects of our businesses? Be with our families and friends?
The reality is that people still do not really understand Social networking and will blindly follow people to join more and more of these networks. People will stay for a while, they may make some friends, they might even fill in a profile of sorts and then they move on to the next one!
Is this what Social Networking is all about?
Here is a reality check - Most people are really social Networking inept and it is time that we learned how to use social networks properly.
Here is a tip for you - You do not have to join every single social network out there! You do not have to follow the crowd and join everything under the sun!
Through a fellow bloggers site at rockuvme, I read some very down to earth common sense advice and was introduced to a couple of videos that are well worth watching and taking heed of what is said.
Share these with your friends and let me know what you think.
