( Usually when we write posts, we keep our names to “Admin” - Today I am using my name as this is a post that I had created on a social site. I would be very interested in your point of view in helping people understand that blogging is about building a beautiful train track- thank you)
When I was working with children with different needs, I was taught a technique to see how connected these kids were. You took a wooden train set and asked the children to build a train track. Such a simple test really. The children who made tracks that were well put together, that made the loop, showed them to be thinking in a whole reasoning. The children who had tracks going nowhere, well, you can understand their head space ” all over the place” is an apt description.
There are many adults who will go “all over the place” not organized, flitting around from this to that, with little rhyme or reason. They start one thing in their lives and move on to something else never connecting and getting very frustrated because they do not see results.
What does this have to do with marketing?
Simple. (more…)

One of our new members to Success BlogNet - Mary AKA The Panda lady from Panda Picks and I were talking about how important it is to make comments on blog. This is a lady who is striving to learn about all aspects of Blogging. This Post is dedicated to her
Go Visit her blog and give her feedback on her posts and article and don’t forget to leave her a good comment.
Before there was social media as a way of communication, there was the blog comment. Blog commenting was one of first ways that people had to be able to converse with each other as an advanced form of social interaction.
The fact is that we all jump up and down with joy when we get a comment to our blog - not the spam comments of course, but those from people who have come and read what you had to say about any particular subject.
Many of you bloggers out there even know ways and means to entice people to leave comments such as:
Asking for comments
or
Asking questions and seeking opinions
BUT
what else do comments do for you?
Blog comments can help with the search engine optimization of your website by seriously improving your ranking within the major search engines. WOW! How does that work you ask..
Search engines see blog comments as content, and most of it, you did not even have to write yourself. When your readers are commenting on your post, it is quite likely that a lot of the content of the comments are going to reflect your keywords or at least your topic. When you reply, using keywords ( where appropriate) can also be a boost to your blog All this adds up to making your blog Search Engine Optimized.. very Cool!
Just remember that like writing any post, make sure that you keep your language natural because the whole point to having blog comments is creating a continued conversation. The fact is having your readers coming back to your blog site creates value and a sense of community.
What tips or tricks do you use to keep the conversation going?

Being the smart person that he is, Walt from All Sports on the Web, wanted to know our opinion.
When we looked into this “advertising”, on the surface it sure looked good…it has a fairly good page rank the site looks professional and lets face it…this person took the time and trouble to look into Walt’s Squidoo lens. The numbers cited are indeed on target.
Considering that we want our bloggers to be successful, we decided to check further into this and digged deeper to see what others had to say good or bad and this is what we found: (more…)

Belonging to Social Communities is not just a good way to link and be known, but one can read interesting and informative articles. Case in point I came across this article on Adland Pro. This is considered one of the grandfathers of the Web 2.0 platforms.
I really want to BLOG, but don’t know where to Start!
This article is intended to assist any of you who are wanting to start a blog, but don’t know how to go about it.
Lesson #1
There is a distinctive and definitive method to starting your first blog..or ANY blog, particularly if you’re looking to monetize it in any way.
There are basically two ways to create a blog (simplistic perhaps..but this isn’t a university course..just an explanation). One is something that I’ve tried..but can’t get myself into much..and that’s automated sites, where the primary objective is to make an optimized site with automatic PLR articles serving as the content, and set and forget type of advertising etc..
That kind of thing works for some people, and they make these blogs on a daily basis..flooding the internet with them (and in my opinion degrading the entire industry of blogging)
The other kind of blog is just the opposite. Actually there are two types here. One is a Hobby Blog, and the other is an Authority Blog (typically a money blog) Both are something a person needs to tend and nurture over time..developing original content, attracting readers from within the niche, and in the case of a money blog, being more particular about the SEO aspects and how to monetize the blog without it seeming to be crass commercialism. Bloggers don’t tend to like this kind of commercial site.
With the hobby blog you just write about stuff because you love it. (in fact a great hobby blog can (and has) turned into a very good income generator, simply because you are giving people something they want. High quality content about something you all share an interest in. If it involves a LOT of people and you get a lot of traffic, then the advertising potential is definitely there..and you can expect people to take notice if you have a busy site. They will want access to your readers. (more…)

I’ve been following Rick Butts for some time now folks, mostly because of his superb marketing sense but also for his humor which is off-the-wall hilarious!
He’s coined a NEW marketing phrase called Twitter Squeeze, which if you’re involved with Internet Marketing at all should reveal that it’s a blend of using Twitter and a Squeeze Page to build your marketing list!
So you simply HAVE TO get over and see his video, and get on his notice list. This is going to be good!
